We did not get to try the bowling at all because of this. If there are a number of private parties here, you could end up paying for a wristband but not be able to make it cost-effective if you can't ride or play many things due to private parties having them booked for a number of hours. Wish they would enforce this better or really emphasize that faster groups should be able to move ahead. This slows things down significantly and really backs things up. They ask for the mini-golf that no more than 4 play in a group, but there were a few groups ahead of us that had 6-8 people in them and they were all playing.
I can really only think of 2 negatives: 1. Prices for food and drinks weren't bad for an amusement park, and there is something for everyone here. Some of the lines were a little on the longer side, but there were a number of private events going on since we were there on a Saturday.
This was great as each ride costs a certain amount of money and we definitely made up the cost of the wristband with being there most of the day. So glad we did! They actually let us exchange the Groupon for ride wristbands for my boys and pay the difference. After reading the terms of the Groupon and visiting the site, we decided to purchase the Groupon and take a chance. $10 - LIMITED SEATING! Teen girls will be provided all reinforcement activity items and lunch.We never would have visited if we hand't seen a Groupon. As both a female and a law enforcement officer, the importance of teaching our women and girls the techniques to keep themselves physically safe is sometimes overlooked.” This program is designed to focus on this issue in the community and set up sustainable change and is very important to its organizers, especially Officer Leslie Heisler who states, “I realize the benefits to the intent of the program. For this reason, she vowed to help her peers be confident - beyond self esteem - in their own abilities to defend themselves. She believes no woman should be paralyzed by the fear of being susceptible to sexual violation. As a young woman on the path to college, the reality of being a vulnerable individual in an unknown environment was a point of fear for her.
This program was brought to life by high school senior, Kate Sorbie.
The goal of the class is to teach the girls how to prevent and/or escape a dangerous situation. By the end of the program, the girls will have basic understanding of different types of strikes, kicks, and escape tactics so that they can be armed with the skills to defend themselves. Including general self esteem activities and four (4) hours of personal instruction taught by police officers of the Shelby Township Police Department to arm the participants with confidence. This opportunity will cover the reality of women today with facts and physical practice.
